Hitting the road for 3 months this winter (Dec-Feb/ or Jan-March) and looking for recommendations of places to hit. Pretty into bouldering as of late but also looking for trad/sport spots. Currently in the Durango area. As of right now some places I’m pretty interested in are Joe’s, Hueco, Bishop, and possibly the Red at the the tail end of the trip.

Red rocks, Joshua tree

California coast in Marin,  sonoma and humboldt counties can be a nice and scenic option.

Ice climbing & backcountry skiing in the Western USA  & Canada are grand too.

Red Rocks, Bishop, and Joshua Tree are all great winter destinations and are pretty close to one another. There are also a ton of limestone sport areas along the stretch of I-15 that runs from Vegas to St. George, some of which get a lot of sun and can be good in the winter (Sun City, parts of the VRG). I did almost that exact road trip last December and had a great time.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
