Trango Phase quick draws (6x12cm) 50% off at REI for $49 |

Don't want to start a new thread for this question. Thought you deal-heads might be able to help. Is there ever a legit deal on Garmin InReach Mini 2? I wanted to wait for some deal to save a few bucks, but remember that even when REI had the 20% membership discount, Garmin was excluded. So, does that mean that there is no point in waiting even though I'm not in a big rush? |

Just A Climberwrote: An AAC membership is $45 and comes with expert voice which will get you the Mini 2 for $299 which between the two, are the same as buying it without a sale. If the AAC has other benefits that you like it'll be a deal. In the spirit of the thread, Al's has C4s for 25% off. https://www.als.com/bdequi-cam-camalot-c4/p?idsku=500284&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=&scid=scplp500284&sc_intid=500284&gclid=Cj0KCQjwof6WBhD4ARIsAOi65ajvSWwKSS3iMZMVzgboPg-MUF5HGpnAkOSPruJ1CozAsWPbL-jYdXwaAhW4EALw_wcB |

Just A Climberwrote: I have a Garmin Mini. If I was buying a new emergency device, I would consider the Zoleo., though the advantage of Garmin is the monthly payment plan can be cheaper. |

Just A Climberwrote: You can buy used older units on ebay for under $200. I have an older style, Delorme inreach from 2015 that works perfectly. Garmin is still maintaining them, with the most recent firmware update in the past year. |

Thanks all (Climb On, Terry E, James Cho, and offline contacts) for the helpful information! This will be purchased as a present, so used or refurbished will not work. Can't wait for Black Friday either. I understand there will be subscription cost after the purchase, but the friend has voiced interest in such a tool (not expecting a gift) for remote excursions, so I figured a device is a good starting point. I'll read into ZOLEO. Edit: to respond to Terry E's comment below without fully hijacking the thread -- the device will be ONLY for the most serious emergencies (the said friend is one of most self-reliant and experienced explorers). After reading through the user comments on REI site and comparing plans, I have decided against ZOLEO. It might be good for some folks, but it does not fit the use case that I will buy it for. |

Just A Climberwrote: I don't want to completely hijack this thread, since it's supposed to be about online deals.... but you may want to be clear on what you are buying the device for - messaging, SOS, GPS navigation? Note that ZOLEO does NOT do the latter. Also compare subscription plans and how they work. |

For those of you with big feet looking for an entry level shoe or gym shoe I just got a pair of scarpa origins for $22 size 47 form Sierra. Tried them on and they feel much better in the toe box than several other shoes I’ve tried/had so I’m hoping my big toe pain is alleviated by the additional room i have with these shoes. https://www.sierra.com/scarpa-made-in-italy-origin-climbing-shoes-leather-for-men-and-women~p~80wvy/?filterString=clearance~1%2Fgear~d~4868%2Factivities~d~9688%2Fclimbing~d~9%2F&merch=prod-rec-prod-prod80WVY |

what looks like an unused microtrax for about $75 (i think geartrade now charges tax, so probably about 78-80, but still better than retail + sale price). https://www.geartrade.com/item/821514/micro-traxion-pulley-one-color-one-size-good |

Christian Heschwrote: Amazon has new European market microtraxs for ~$65 shipped (general caveats regarding climbing gear from Amazon apply, but IMO not too different from buying backcountry returns). oluinid has nanotrax for $53+ shipping and petzl crevasse rescue kits (microtrax, partner pulley, tibloc, two lockers and a sling) for $120+shipping (I paid $30 shipping on my last order including a rope, their minimum shipping fee is ~$20. Split very large orders ($800+) up to avoid customs) €1=$1.02 right now, most euro prices are set assuming €1=$1.20, and some stuff was much cheaper in Europe even before the euro nosedived. https://www.oliunid.com/petzl-nano-traxion-rescue-pulley-ascender.html |
