This might be a dumb question Can anyone help me figure out why my mountain project app doesn’t show Climbing areas nearby me on the map anymore. It used to show a little circle for the climbing areas. I could click on them and it would bring up that area. For some reason it no longer does this. Is it something in my phone settings? I did check the settings and it all looks good.
Might be a silly question but is your location turned on? You could also check app permissions. Lastly, check and see if the app needs updating, both in-app updates and iphone/Google store updates.
I just checked mine and "nearby" feature is working.
Have you downloaded the areas near you onto your phone? Mine shows only circles for downloaded areas. It used to show areas near me here in California, but doesn't now since I deleted the info to create space on my phone.
Am wondering if this is the problem.

This has happened to me before, took me forever to figure out how to fix it. Though slightly annoying to do, the only thing that fixed mine was deleting the app and re-downloading it. Give it a whirl!
Happened to me a couple times. Either delete and re download the app like said above or click manage areas, then edit in the top right, and delete the area that’s not working and then add it again. Hope that helps!

Updating the info for my downloaded areas always fixes this for me.
Just got a new phone and logged in to the app. All of the states I used to have are no longer listed. I see no way to download the states I previously had.
Deleted and reinstalled the app. This fixed the problem. Thanks.
