Lol, all the full grown adults whining about the cops. Ya'll talk like this but every climber group I've been with in the Creek drinks and drives all damn day & smokes pot while driving to monticello, endangering everyone else. I hope the cops show up in in force. |

Marc801 Cwrote: Most of these should be paid by user fees, when feasible. It is now possible to have all vehicles pay a time-based, location-based fee for every mile driven. One issue is being tracked at all times, but it seems many phones and cars already have that issue. Homes in high fire hazard areas should pay for what is now subsidized firefighting service from the state or USFS that often focuses on protecting private homes instead of public land. Typical modern mines do have a lot more requirements for bonding / insurance which is supposed to cover cleanup. https://www.gao.gov/assets/gao-19-436r.pdf The test would be a broad study of all mines that closed in recent years to see if cleanup has actually vastly improved over the historical abandonment method. |

Daniel Cwrote: I personally knew Johnny Hurley. They shot him in the back without warning after he ended a cop-killer and then declared the killer cop free from consequences because it was an emotional few moments. Had anyone had footage of the shooting they were prepared to go with qualified immunity. I was raised by cops. My dad was a powerful LEO. I took the test for DPD once and scored in the 95 percentile. Didn't get a spot because they had quotas for minorities and I was ok with that. Policing has devolved, significantly, in the ladt decade or so. |

does anyone know what are the closest crags and boulders to the rainbow gathering? |

Can’t wait for one of these meth head pieces of trash to start a forest fire! |
|

Mark Westfallwrote: maybe consider that a forrest fire is unlikely to be started because national forest service is sending in a team of rangers and commanders as the NF is treating this gathering as an "incident" also very few drainbow gutter punks meth heads attend, and the gathering has running water lines going to a dozen or more kitchen sites and a creek nearby and thousands of people who could potentially make a fire line and put water on a small fire if one broke out |

Maybe Considerwrote: Fires aside, do you not see how this is going to destroy whatever outdoor area they set up in? |

|
Maybe Considerwrote: Lol didn’t the USFS start one of the New Mexico fires recently? |
|
|
Maybe Considerwrote: Yeah because a bucket brigade will totally be able to put out a fire fueled by 90mph winds and a buttload of beetle kill. |

curt86irocwrote: Two actually |

Maybe Considerwrote: You have the internet - look it up yourself. If you’re not able to figure this out on your own I don’t have any confidence in your groups ability to plan this event. T0 |

Maybe Considerwrote: Yes, and we're all very excited to be paying for that. |

MattHwrote: Interestingly left-libertarianism (IE, Anarchism, the original libertarianism) provides systems of checks in a way that right-libertarianism cannot. If the market in left-libertarianism starts going screwy the people have a lot of power to correct it. Under right-libertarianism you're mostly supposed to stick your fingers in your ears and sing "lalalalala the market is perfect I can't hear you." Some of what he said about the state is correct, but he has indeed drunk the right-libertarian koolaid to the point that he has lost common sense. Ayway, the shindig sounds fun, planning the cleanup sounds cool of y'all. Have fun out there. |
