Giant tree on Pywiak Dome

Every time I drive past Pywiak Dome I cant help but almost inadvertently drive off the road as I stare up at the giant tree mid way up the southern slope of the dome.  Does anybody know a route or way to get to this tree? I feel like I need to see it up close and sit under its shade. This tree is just such a marvel. Any help on how to get there is greatly appreciated.

Sure, just stroll up the flake system to the right of the tree.  Can't be more than 5.2.

So you don’t get a little sandbagged, I think the flake system is listed as a 5.6. mountainproject.com/v/12102…

I think the route you're referencing is quite a bit left of the tree. The description mentions that it joins Zee tree a few pitches up, and the tree is way around the dome from Zee Tree.

Yeah, I don't think the route to the tree actually qualifies as a route.  Pretty easy.  If you look at the photo posted above, I have solo down climbed the flake system/lieback that starts up high to the left of the tree so walking up to the tree should be pretty easy.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
