One of the very early pitches on Dream of Wild Turkeys?

Edit: didn't see DF's guess ahead of mine. Almost certain he's right

Hint: this photo was taken on lead.

More hints: The photo was taken around this time of year in a place where multipitch routes are the exception rather than the rule.

Correct! A pretty name for a pretty route.

Responding to Alan's question below, it's on the Lost Horse Wall in J-Tree. The first ascent is attributed to a trio of Stonemasters—John Long, Richard Harrison and Rick Accomazzo—in 1973. Classic.

I'm curious as I am unfamiliar with Dappled Mare. Where is it located?

This thread blows my mind. Just climbed Dappled Mare this past fall and I don’t think I would have guessed. Perspective might give it away, but that’s it. Yall are sharp.

Dappled Mare is in JTree.  It would be nice if people called out the area as well as the route name for those of us unfamiliar with them.

Not Something to the right of the Beckey-Chouinard.
