best featured granite?

I was very impresive about the rock climbing in Corsica. Amazing featured granite plenty of big holds and tafonis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4oTScsDnKo What areas do you know with such kind of featured granite with holds and jugs? Come to my mind City of Rocks and Cochise stronghold , do you know other crags or places with this kind of rock? |

Good granite is wonderful! Found in some of the most unlikely spots. Bad granite is the worst choss one can imagine. There is a climb located on the Kern Plateau that features both, one climbs up 30 feet of sand grains stuck together, scraping feet and hand holds. Levy described the climbing as “ghastly” one time! Then you get to the “golden stone” and climb 60 feet of the best incut edges and flakes ever. How the F does that happen??? |

Church Dome, Poison Dome and other southern SIerra gems. Waco is also pretty featured. However, that rock in Corsica looks great! |

Another vote for Shuteye. Another place I’ve seen amazing featured granite is at the top of Mt Lemon in Tucson. Non glaciated granite in both those locals. |

How about perfect splitter cracks, often running hundreds of feet continuously without interruption in fine California granite? Are these "features?"  |

Splitters are amazing, and giant granite chicken heads are amazing, but they're different things and deserved to be recognized in their own categories. Smooth granite with cracks or flakes, as good as it is, is kind of just normal granite climbing. But the sorts of granite face features discussed here are interesting since they are unusual. |

It's a lesser known spot but there is a 70+ foot deep water solo wall at lake Nickajack in Tennessee. Massive 20 foot tufas and other drip like features. |
