Here’s a little write up on the conditions of the Leap after the fire and climbing at the Sugarloaf

Thanks Petch! I was on the Dixie Fire for 40+ days just sickened of the news as the Caldor went ripping through. I took my wife and son just the year prior to climb at the Leap for their first time. A week of just pure bliss. We always loved the decent of the east wall, my wife said it was like walking through a mystical forest and always expected a fairy to pop out. We lost most of our forest on the Eldorado Fire (the gender reveal fire) in So Cal as it raged through our mountains skirting our town. Let us all know once the "rebuilding" effort begins, so many of us would love to come up and help make the place better then ever.

Thanks Petch for the update and keeping the stoke going. I saw Echo Summit by the ski area -really surprised how it burned those homes up there. See u soon!

Unfortunately a few of the cabins by the Slippery Ford/East parking area were burned in the fire. Super sad.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
