What Does Your Woody Look Like??? v3.0

My walls are very textured with paint and fine sand. You might try that with your holds, in reverse. Take either some paint or wood glue, paint the backside of the holds, sprinkle in some fine sand, let dry, grippy. My $.01 1/2! |

The Anti seize the previous poster was commenting on is not a loctite type thing but a lubricant, which IS what you would want on the bolts to keep from corroding. You will likely just need to tighten bolts somewhat regularly. That’s normal |

My walls are painted with some sand mixed in, no issue with loose holds. The downside is the holds don’t want to come off. Sometimes a whack with a rubber mallet gets them to pop off, others I’ve had to pry off. For part of the wall I used some finished birch panels that I had on hand, then painted them. Removing the holds on those panels has resulted in chunks of the finished layer coming off. |

Finishing up the Swol Barn. 45° 8x12 moonboard. Only holds A + B for now. Going to add in some jugs for a warm up. The goatys approve.

Following along again. Looks like we'll be moving to a house with an old barn that has a 40' ceiling and open floor plan in a few months, so the current little basement wall we have going will be getting removed but hopefully used on a big upgrade.. |

Needs more holds but it gets the job done. Actually have more holds just ran out of bolts which should be here in a couple days. |

Nicholas Kwrote: 1st - Don't rely on Maurizio Cattelan to design your climbing wall. 2nd - 8 taped bananas @ $120,000 each... uh |

I shared my build right when I finished it, maybe on the second thread. Finally getting close to max out on hold space. I’ve got it set in a spray wall/circuit combo style. Pretty effective and fun IMO. 10.5’x8’ @ 20 degrees

csproulwrote: A little dusting of baby powder or chalk before mounting the hold will prevent the sticking. Takes the tack out of the paint, if that’s what you’d prefer. |

10' (tall) x 8' (wide) @ 33 degrees overhanging. I think if it were any bigger, i would never leave the house to go climbing haha |

Here’s my contribution - 10 ft x 10 ft at 40 degrees, with a 1 ft kicker. The holds are mostly Beastmakers, with a set of eGrips and few odd other holds thrown in. I used 1 inch pieces of baseboard for the kicker, and wow are they slippery. Those wood holds take a lot of squeeze! |

Does anyone have recommendations for large single matchable slopers that are good to use(v5 and up) on a 35-45 degree wall? I would like 1 or 2 large single holds instead of that standard set of 5s. |

Last year I put up a warm-up / kids area in a shed I built, this year I expanded the shed and just put up a system board (Lemur panels for 7x10 Kilter) last week. |
