common misconception. it's from the French word for barnacle, and the reference is to the motion of the barnacle penis as it blindly whips from side to side, searching for a mate

I'm sad to have to tell you that they are quite famously longer than they are wide. Your noble search continues

If it’s a small enough door to swing open it’s a shed.

In conclusion, traversing should be called barn dooring and swinging out from a hold should be termed shed dooring.

I read this while sitting down after a shift at the bar, eating a biscuit. I laughed so hard a massive rocket of snot came clean out of my nostril and landed right on the biscuit. The last biscuit. Thanks for ruining my night

Strictly speaking, all we know is that the majority of the doors on the sides of the barns that have been facing you appear to slide.

Wrong is fine as a following adverb. Preceding the verb? Yes, wrongly is preferred. But the OP’s usage is acceptable.

As for the percentage he fabricated, well, he’s clearly barn dooring off that particular hold. But given the importance (and urgency) of the issue raised, he probably warrants a pass.

It's really two grammar strikes, if vocabulary is a part of grammar. Because he's probably going off the contemporary barn-door concept interior door definition. Whereas throughout history most barn doors had hinges, which is why some hinge types are referred to as barn door hinges.

I've been a writer for a decade, and while "mountain project shitpost" doesn't super qualify as writing, this is still the best response I have ever received from my writing

I never barn door, I horse around. And of course only after the horse has left the barn, cause ya know they left the door open.

When you're on the last pitch of a route, do you start to smell the barn?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
