sure hope she is ok. i cant imagine the pain her family is in right now.

I'm pretty sure she is Ammon Bundy's fifth wife...newly married.

Suicide that looks like murder, accidental death, total mental meltdown with highly illogical circumstances ensuing, a third party on the scene, suicide pact, human trafficking, and many things that are totally weird that no one has thought of.

But none of these explain dude driving back to Florida in her car. I don't get, "cult freak" or, "psychological genius" from her insta - I get she's got a good hold on color palletes. These peeps weren't going miles into the backcountry, they bragged about going on the other side of Delicate Arch - if she died accidentally, that body would have been found. If she was kidnapped, dude would be talkin'.

I just don't also get a motive for murder except this guy got bitch slapped? If she was alive just missing, the dude would be talking. If he isn't talking, she's dead and he had something to do with it.

End of thread. LOL.

Pretty sure they don't need much training. These days it is just cell phone tracking, security footage, credit card transactions,. social media metadata, text messages, and public tips. Everything is out in the open. Just a matter of going through it all. LE just follows the crumbs. Not much intelligence involved, just good old fashioned legwork.

It is unlikely any climbers in the Tetons can help but that is not the primary reason for the discussion or the national interest.

Climbers get #vanlife, #nationalparks, the lifestyle, the youthful idealism vs reality. They know the areas they visited. It hits home for many. And it is clearly of interest like any good mystery novel. People speculating about mysteries is as old man. And sometimes the professionals get it wrong.

The vehicle is in the possession of the FBI, but yeah you’re right, the FBI doesnt have any training.

The skills they will use to investigate this case, especially in regards to location tracking, don't require any specalized traning unless you think using a modern TV requires training. It is basic legwork.

From tracking their location, to scrubbing on the van for clues (onboard memory, oil changes, DNA, etc),  all basic stuff these days. Remember, torture was the defining technique for gathering clues during the Iraq war. Water boarding.

This is about compiling clues, not disarming a bomb or programming some code to get inside a nuclear facility in Iran and destroy centrifuges. FBI simply has more resources and manpower, and can easily cross state lines

One thing the media hasn't mentioned is cell phone account tracking.  In addition to tracking the van as mentioned above and the numerous security camera tracking data files available.  It could take some time to process all of the data and make some triangulations.

I look forward to TikTok users solving this case before the FBI.

You're simplifying the process to support your narrative.

All investigations start with boots on the ground. Much like onsighting a route those clues you find build a profile of the issues in front of you. Hopefully resulting in the puzzle revealing itself.

Once enough of the puzzle comes together this guy will have no choice but to talk. His legal representation is handling this very poorly. But what do I know. I only spent my entire career dealing with human behavior and gathering clues to build profiles. Sure wish I had known I didn't need training to do so. Could've saved alot of money.

Tik Tok users have nothing on the MtnProj agents that we have here.

TikTok user claims she picked up Brian Laundrie hiking alone in Grand Teton National Park

Creepy as fuk - she was probably already dead - kind of sounded like it occured to him half way through the ride that Jackson has a lot of cameras while at the same time realizing the holes in his story.  Also makes me think they’ll find her - freaked out kid with no real plan probably did a sloppy job.  I wonder where at that moment the van was really parked?  Probably not in Jackson - probably closer to where the hitch hike started.

James W, how do you know this?
Have you already read a story in a newspaper about prior violence of this guy?
Typically violent guys (with a known history of violence) kill people.
Nice guys rarely kill other people.
Where are newspaper accounts about character, temperament and prior life of Brian Laundrie?

Not true. Gacy in his spare time was a clown for kids parties. Yet he still killed on a regular basis and hid them in his house. That's how he got busted. The neighbors loved him up until that came up.

Bundy was a ladies man highly regarded by his community. Until he got caught.

BTK was the same. GSK was a married man killing for fun while being a nice guy. I could go on but you can do your own research.

Nice guys kill all the time. I won't judge this guy until more evidence is brought forth. Speculation has only served me well in the stock market. Even then I followed the advice of an expert.

Of course. It is a comments forum on MP. However, this is a missing persons case at the moment. We are talking about what investigators are doing now.

Nothing is incorrect or overly simplified as to the basics of what they are doing in regards to my comment. Go back and read it. Missing person cases aren't rocket science. I fail to understand what you see as so complicated as to require what you think are more   tools or brain power. Until we get a dead body, or she shows up alive, there is little more for LE to do than what I pointed out.

Obviously you have no idea what's going on. Having been there I have a pretty good understanding. Your media feed is 1% of what is happening.

Yury, it’s obviously wild speculation when you consider that only 55% of women who are murdered are killed by their romantic partners. that leaves almost half!

Too lazy to dig into this...  but this seems like MP themed content.  Besides who doesn't love Chuck Palahnuik!?

Talk about dark! That is a great post. Even if not true.

Now that he is missing, and she is missing, perhaps the missing links will come together.

No way in hell LE didn't have eyes on him. That would be stupid beyond belief.

Lots of pressure on a 23 year old. He cracking his own egg.

"Having been there"...

That is great. So, please do explain exactly what's going on in regards to this case that we are missing and you have insight to.

100% sure that you don't know 1% more than the rest of us. But can't wait to have you in town solving this case. Got the cold beers if climbing is necessary.
