I'm turning 31 in mid-July and to celebrate I want to do the classic 'climb your age in pitches' day. The main problem I see here is the usual destinations for such activities (ORG, J Tree, Yosemite Valley) will be scorching in mid-July. I'd like to keep the majority of the grades at 5.7-mid 5.10ish maybe a bolted 5.11- at the most difficult and open to both sport or trad. A few places in Pine Creek look like possible candidates but I've never been so it's difficult for me to say. Tuolumne maybe but I've yet to find a concentrated area that would lend itself to such shenanigans without excessive hiking. Any suggestions are welcome!

Dozier Dome, Mariuolumne Dome and Olmstead Canyon in Tuolumne are all short hikes with plenty of 5.7-5.10
I did that last year (even turned 31 actually) at Emigrant Wall in the Tahoe region. All easier than 5.10. At 7,000 feet it is fairly moderate in July, if it is a hot day I would just plan to finish before noon.
There are about 30 sport routes at those grades at area 13 at Clark Canyon, within 5 minutes walk from left to right. The rest of the routes at Clark are 10-15 minutes walk away.
there's always the option of RA in early morning, leisurely morning, single pitch in the middle of the day, afternoon nap, then a second lap on RA in the late afternoon. In theory, if you do the final slab pitch both ways, you'd only have to do it once and could rap straight away on the second lap... I've done it and it's a very nice way to basically feel fresh at the end of a "long" day. Cheap claim, for sure, but hey, it's all 5.fun, right?
