I used to have the greatest dogs ever. These two could & did go everywhere. Now I have these two idiots. These two not so much. They have both been thrown out of Doggy daycare! How do you get thrown out of Doggy daycare in Owens Valley! But they are good looking. |

I love heelers but they are absolutly terrible crag dogs. Insanely smart. super cool but also nip peoples heels and occasionally bite little kids. |

This little rotten bastard has been w me now for 10 years. He doesn't clean up or help around the house but he's a heeler border collie cross and is smarter than most people. I love him more than my children. |

I don’t even have a dog, but if I wanted to get a good crag dog, I would make a trip to Republic if Georgia and pick up literally any street dog there. Those were the most well-behaved, chilliest, friendliest, smartest dogs I had ever met. There never used to be street dogs there when I was growing up, but a combination of multi-year war and migrations/exodus of refugees had created a problem. After the initial catch-and-kill program, there was a huge public outcry, and now there is a country-wide program that gets the street dogs vaccinated, treated if sick, sprayed/neutered, and otherwise left to roam. (They have ear tags showing that they have been vaccinated.) It is incredible how well-behaved those dogs are. My daughter wanted to bring every single one of them home. And I have been so very tempted, myself. |

Dogs are meant for fighting and supporting addictive gamblers...I guess watching dog fights at the crag would be better then hearing people spray about their 5.12 proj...or how much they donated to Access Fund...Dog Fights Rule!!!! |

Nope! You dog non-enthusiasts do not get it. And that is okay. Just let those who have trained and polished off a good crag dog not be lumped in with those that do not. |

Lena chitawrote: I have had a tendency to develop a soft spot for the street pups in my world travels as well. I finally caved ten years ago and brought home one from the mean streets of Afghanistan in 2010. He is an old boy now, but when the approach is appropriate and the crag obscure, he still tags akong |
