What are you psyched on right now?

Just signed a lease for a beautiful little cabin in Evergreen, CO. Never thought I'd have the opportunity to live in such an incredible place. I'm so grateful for my partner right now as we both face off with the impending costs of moving while simultaneously sweating lay offs. Also excited for all the plants and animals that are thriving in the absence of our typical daily destruction.

That is a rad thing to be excited about.

Thanks Gregory, I sure like it.  The story of their chimneying, while passing a mercurial barometer hand over hand during the process, is something else.  As are many other events and incidents.  Powell himself was very modest and it's clear (from comparisons with Dellenbaugh's account of the 1871/72 expedition) that he downplays almost everything they went through and did.  As a river runner and climber and scientist, I read it all with an intense fascination and respect.

It finally feels sort of safe to be a road cyclist in Las Vegas.

I’m psyched on doing some arm balance progressions. I’ve always loved arm balances but haven’t wanted to work on them for fear of overuse injuries. Currently working on handstand and the forearm balance variation.

Thanks to the OP for trying to rally some positivity.

With the prospect of lots of time at home for the next couple months, I bought 3 chicks from my local hadware/farm store. I have been raising chickens for eggs for abut 3 years, and it has provided endless entertainment. From the hilarity of watching the tiny dinosaurs learn to use their wings, forage, and interact with other animals, to the trauma of having a racoon decapitate half our flock, it is rarely boring.

My girlfriend named them "Blood Foot Flock" after I performed a small surgery to seperate two fused toes on a chick. We have generally named the chicks after land and water features in the North Cascades (where I live) so with this new group of chicks, I named one after Mt Terror (or Terry for short), Bacon (named for Bacon Creek/Bacon Peak) and then riffing on the Blood Foot theme, named the black one Shredder

I didn't think raising chickens would become an identity. However, I was quickly introduced to a very active local facebook community, and I'm finding great entertainment reading about all the other chicken lovers, their trials, successes, and the intersection of other homesteading pursuits. So, I have also made new friends, traded trees and plants with people, and discovered new passions in the realm of homesteading.

The joy of raising animals to provide food, starting a garden, and processing fruit from my own trees and bushes has been as satisfying as sending hard trad lines in the alpine (different for sure, but very rewarding). If you've got the time, consider buying a packet of seeds and plant em in a old bucket on your porch, walk around a local park and discover your favorite flower, or hold a baby chick. Climbing is still my favorite, but there is more to be physched about out there.

During my workout today, I had a realization. One silver lining is we'll all have a bit longer before our shoes need to be resoled! Sorry, Rock & Resole.

I'm psyched I finally sent a 12a and 11d, and 3 11cs before the complete shut down of civilization and Seattle.  Previously I had only sent 4 11c's in the last two years. Also got very very close on a v5 a few weeks ago (pulled the crux like 15 times and was too gased to finish).

actually I dropped my best pair for resole 2 days before the gym closed. I'm hoping they'll be all ready to go and waiting for me when they re-open  :)

Revival once again... What are you pysched on? For me it's multipitches, trad climbing (starting to place gear now), and breakthroughs on my project. Anyone else?

Started climbing about 18 months. I live 1.5 hours from Yosemite valley. My goal is the nose just been practicing aid climbing gathering gear. Getting faster and more efficient. As well as getting physically training so I don't spend a week on the wall.

Skip the aid and get better at free climbing.  You’ll have more fun, and maybe someone will make a movie about you.  That would be cool. A movie of someone climbing the nose.

Going back to a sweet, short, wonderful offwidth to hands to fingers crack at COR in only a few days! Finally get to learn crack climbing on something good!

And rocky road ice cream as the main course for dinner tonight! With a banana to hold it up.

I'm definitely going to free climb as much as I can and I have been practicing crack and slab climbing. I would love to do a movie climbing it! I think that would be awesome!
