What do to in a crisis?

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for help finding source of a great mountaineering quote, I read awhile back. I googled and paged thru my mountaineering books but haven't found it yet. Something alone the lines of "The first thing to do is a crisis is smoke a cigarette." I want to source properly and share with all my non mountaineering friends.
