Hey everyone,

Looking for recommendations on hangboarders for a first time hangboarder.  Generally I've stayed away from hangboards due to various comments about hangboarding too soon killing your tendons, so with that in mind....

1. Am I gonna injure myself? FWIW I've been climbing three years, generally lead tens, but starting to try 11s, the moves on 11s are usually not a problem - I just need better stamina and fear control to actually progress.  Any hangboarding would be fairly chill, I'm not looking to make mad gains, just something to maintain and do while stuck inside.

2. Removable setup would be ideal - I was thinking maybe one of the blank slate climbing setups - this requires few tools or modifications which means I can stay in and not go to a hardware store.  Plus my drill is in a storage unit that is currently closed which means it would be hard to mount a permanent board to the wall studs properly.  The blank slate however a bit narrow for our doors - 32" max vs 34" which seems like it would be a problem.  A portable hangboard that hangs from something like the tension climbing flash board is out of consideration because there's nothing to hang it from.

3. What would be the most beginner friendly hangboard to choose?  Beastmaker 1000?  One of those super juggy metolius ones?  Or simply buy some nice gentle slopers or jugs to start with?

4. Do I need to think about a pulley system? I'm weaker than a kitten on pullups needing about 60lbs on an assisted machine not to feel like my shoulders will pop.  Presumably just hanging would be ok though?

Thanks!
