Eldo has some good climbs. If it wasn't next to about a million climbers, it'd have about 20 occasionally repeated routes and have a reputation for rock fall.

Most places are popular due to proximity or exceptional climbing. Eldo, CCC, BC mostly meh but great if you live there. Ten Sleep, Indian Creek, RRG, Yosemite, pretty much worth it no matter where you live.

Lots of stuff in between. El Rito is 4 hours for me. It's certainly a good place to go a couple times a year. I don't think I'd suggest it to French tourists though.

As someone who lives nearish and loves it I have to agree. Best crag in WA, easily yes! But those who hype index can overdo it at times.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
