Seth Bleazard wrote: rockprodigytraining.proboar… Wow, thanks! Lotsa great stories, even if they are climbing many grades higher than I am. I'm maybe not at a point to do these sorts of regimes, for climbing (just climb more), but, that discipline dies need to be applied to general fitness and strength. Best, Helen

Anyone know which book it is that has the self evaluation in it? Or an online version? Pullups, that sort of thing? I need to grab some measurable numbers really soon. Watching those shift will be encouraging. Best, Helen

I happened to do a proper deadhang this week (shoulders and core engaged, not just dead meat). About 1:50, before my hands came off. The place I'm going has a scale that is supposed to figure out lean mass, water, etc. All those numbers are going good directions. I'm hovering around 130 pounds, close to dipping under. I finished a 6 week thing in mid February, then signed up with the trainer. I'm just at the end of week 3 on that, of an estimated 11 weeks. That, is when I should be at a goal of 28ish for body fat. That's not exactly lean, but it's reasonable. The larger goal is just having the habits going, and being shifted into a "normal" that I can maintain.....forever. The sad thing now, is all the loose skin flapping around. Ah well. The muscles are winning, at least! Best to you with your training, revans! Helen

Oh! And I have a truly great climbing gym to go to now, less than two miles from the house. Weather has been sorta cooperative, at least often enough to get out to our local cliffs some, and certainly I am getting out to walk enough that I miss it when I don't.
And yes, there's a calendar on the wall, with the various stuff I've done (walk, TRX, 1:1, etc). I have a notebook I'm writing the indoor climbing in, just grade, how many laps, downclimb.
Thanks so much, all. Helen

Years ago on a trip where things did not go as planned our mantra became, "Are we having fun yet?" It really helped.
