Favorite stories from Alpinist Magazine

I’ve been picking up old Alpinist Magazines recently and the stories are top notch and some don’t seem widely known. What are some of your favorite stories/favorite issues from Alpinist? 

Either Alpinist or Climbing covered Hetch Hetchy. That was my fave.  But my memory is vague.  I read it on a train, thought the place sounded incredible and chucked the magazine because who needs old magazines. Mistake. 

I thought Scott Coldiron's piece "Raggedy Man" in No. 64 was pretty remarkable. One of my favourites for sure.

The Squamish edition was rather cool to me as a local.

“Old Alpinist magazines”  sounds funny to me...

"Go East" by Majka Burhardt in Alpinist 29 is my favorite. 

I like reading the stories they post to the website. Haven't subscribed to the magazine yet although I have purchased a copy or two. Anybody have any links to good online reads from Alpinist? I'll look around for some of the ones that I've enjoyed.
