Road trip to Southern Utah

I am planning a solo road trip to Southern Utah from St. Louis the first two weeks of October. Other than the big National Parks (Grand Canyon, Zion, and Arches) I plan on hitting up Grand Staircase, Glen Canyon, and Canyonlands.
Are there some hidden gems that I am missing? Anything that is an absolute must see/visit?

The confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers, in Canyonlands NP, is one of the epic meetings of big rivers in N America, and there are several different possible routes to get a view of it.
