The above coordinates are incorrect.  Try these:  41.842012, -89.485865

Maybe we'll all regret my giving this thing new life, but I was thinking about this topic the other day and I'm curious if anybody has been out there in the past year to climb this rig.

I'll tell you what. You keep your secret area, and I'll keep mine...

Kris.... The Rincon is not a secret. A whole new generation of climbers are going their now. I get DM,s all the time about the place. Time to put it on MP?? Don’t worry- it will never be popular with the masses.

That is actually very likely to happen. Not by me. The route developer had the masses in his mind when he started seeing success in his work. Anyone that puts hard work into something wants it to be praised by someone they trust. You can't be totally confident presenting to a stranger when you have no idea how well it'll be received. And you're likely unable to find inspiration to work toward something without having seen someone else do it before. What inspires you to hump all that gear to that cliff and put holes and anchors into it? A very passionate, strong, skilled climber that started before you, who took the trade from someone that came before himself. You'll release it, somehow, and very soon. Not necessarily on here. This is a pathetic post from the controlling part of you. From your perspective, you're on your pedestal, while you think you're forcing us to look up at you, hungry. You're a sadist. You had to choose between two different attitudes, and you chose the worst alternative, because you're suffering in some way. You're actually far below many people on here, and you're trying to pull us down with you. Rock climbers are the strongest human beings on Earth, and I don't mean physically. We will never succomb to the troll. If your routes don't get climbed, you will have caused suffering for yourself. I hope you learn something from this. That's the only way to exact redemption for yourself.

The OP is really just afraid of "his" routes being publicly downgraded.

Funny thing is, as most so Cali Natives know, none of this is secret.  Obscure yes, secret no!!!
