Hi Chris,
I was wondering if you are still taking climbing shoe donations or if anyone else that sees this knows of a good place to send old climbing shoes.
Thanks,
Troy

I emailed Chris to let him know about your posts, imagine he doesn't always check here but now he knows about your post and should reply soon enough.

Thank you! Some friends and I made it with grant money over a period of several years. Most of the holds were bought with donated money from local businesses

The outpouring of kindness since I first posted this has been overwhelming to say the least. We just received a donation of money with the purpose of paying admission for the kids this fall. This is the second donation from this same individual for this same purpose - saying Thanks is hardly enough for gifts of this magnitude - but Thanks! Shoes - chalk bags - carabiners - belay plates etc continue to trickle in - to be used or distributed to new climbers heading outdoors for their first top rope sessions. I knew the climbing community was full of kind and giving people but never imagined that this would be as successful as it has been. I want to thank the climbing community as a whole - Thank You!

2 pair of shoes arrived this morning - Thank You to Dalon( ?) Golding in California! Last week I went through our shoes and threw away a few pair that were simply falling apart and beyond repair. Thanks again to everyone who has been so generous!

Still need shoes? I’ve got about 6 pairs all around 38-40. Several will need resoles.

The kindness and thoughtfulness of our climbing community still amazes me every time a box of shoes etc shows up on the porch. Yes we are still accepting shoes etc. as it allows me to replace the worst ones with slightly better ones. Since we have climbing shoes now - the program has become more popular than when kids had to climb in street shoes. We now occasionally get scout troops - school classes and summer programs etc. My wife and I still run it as volunteers. Due to the generosity of one individual climber from California making a cash donation - climbing is currently free for all students and adults (who act as belay slaves) until his donation is used up. I don't know if he wants his name public so I won't post it here but I cannot begin to express enough how thankful we are for him and all of you who have made it possible for our program to continue.

A bag full of shoes is on its way to you. Some could use a resolve but hopefully you can get someone some mileage out of some.
