Joe, how you gonna break into 5.11 eldo with such thin skin?

My advice,  get interceptor or madame guillotine or something (roadside) wired, like really wired, and then you can just climb those exclusively so when old dudes walk by you can humble flex like you just flashed it or whatever, no big deal. That'll show those old bastards!

Have you sent terminal velocity proper? That would also be a good start to rebuking his comment instead of being butthurt by a geriatric.

Any legit eldo old timer doesn't have to ask what route you are on, and if there is dust in their eyes and they have a head injury preventing proper vision, if you tell them the name of a line, they certainly don't confuse it for some other thing.
Dude was a Poseur!

Stop tugging at my heart strings, everyone.  I’m a sensitive creature with feelings as delicate as the upper corner of terminal velocity. <3

Not entirely.  One could say it avoided the easy finish of Fine Line and be just as correct.

It sounds like Avoidance of Terminal Velocity to me and that is a way better name then Zap Snack. I can’t belive there’s is no climb named  Avoidance of Terminal Velocity, there should be one.

Sorry your ego got hurt. Next time tell people to fuck off in person rather than on MP. It is a lot more satisfying. You know , how old-timers do it not the millennial way

Lol you can’t read eh? OP says guy walked away by the time we figured out what he said.   2/10.  Try better with the troll next time.

Lul....... cringeworthy tattoos..... can we also have a pic of the butterfly tramp stamp he's sporting? Gross yuck......I cant even..... just fucking whyyyyyyyyy. Who in the hell can take themselves seriously after they paid for someone to ink that on them.....

Is that really a pic of the OP? If so no wonder the ego is so fragile. I'd be insecure if all I could ever think about was the unfortunate ink around my sensitive nips

Joe,  I think you misunderstood my Great Uncle.  First, he is not an old crusty Eldo hardman, he is a universal one.  He has shared ropes with the likes of Robins, Beckey, Hersey (when he used a rope), and Harding, I understand that is a strange combination, but truth is stranger than fiction.  Your post comes off as very Colorado-centric, and short sighted.

Second, and understandably, you mis-heard the conversation.  After my Great Uncle's comment (which WAS intended to get under your skin), I was trying to reign the old-man in.  He does tend to get a little crotchety, but once you are in his camp, he is as loyal as a puppy dog.

What I said was... "Lowell..."  Intending to reign him in.  You apparently heard "LOL".

So, please take a moment to clean the meconium from your shorts, get over yourself, and please understand that my Great Uncle Lowell Vandergroff means no harm.  He is simply trying to egg on the next-generation.  If you accept the challenge, you will be a much better man...

Well *that's* certainly redundant! (in a good way!)

Joe were you in Eldo today? Did you happen to have a conversation with someone by the Milton Block?

Climbed today with the old guy, who is a few years younger than me, and has been a friend of mine for 20 years.  He is aware of, and slightly bemused by, these posts, although I think it may be the first time he has looked at a forum string on Mountain Project, being an old guy and all.  Yes, the old guy can be blunt, but I'm pretty sure that he was that way as a young guy too.  The old guy was with his son (not grandson), who I'm told was slightly chagrined by the exchange, but that may be because the old guy is his dad, and you know what that can be like.  The old guy has definitely sent Terminal Velocity, although I believe he top roped it first (not a bad idea).  Dude, the next time some old guy acts up, just blow him off; he's old!

Sweet.  My goal was accomplished.  Unfortunately, my goal wasn’t to brag or spray, which is what the forum tried to turn it into.  I was reacting to how I felt at that moment; I didn’t stop to think, “I wonder if this is just how he is?” I don’t think anyone really does that.  Like I said before, I expected more   It’s over now   Enjoy the snow!

lol - so now to determine who is the Eldo badass here - we're going to need to know what route he actually climbed to set up this TR - or did the old guy have his girlfriend do that for him too?
