In all this, I'm most disappointed in Rock and Ice. I hope this incident causes them to take a serious look at their publication standards.

Don't take it too hard folks!  This is a good reminder for us all to be a ever vigilant on the interwebz about what we believe. Additionally, this will be a good wake up call for climbing media to do their due diligence. (You know a Rock and Ice Editor is getting slapped  in the morning meeting.)  Not to mention, Climbing magazine and everyone else will probably take notice so they don't look as foolish as R & I.
