Alex goes savage on Colorado

Listen to Honnold, kids! Nothing good to climb here. You should totally move to Vegas and try to catch a Honnold sighting in Red Rocks. |

The interviewer should have led with something better than Bastille. What did they really expect. |

You mean to tell me... that the dude... who spent the entirety of his 20's living in Yosemite... and being paid to travel the world to the most remote and impressive rock formations imaginable... you're telling me.... THAT guy doesn't think that Boulder canyon is the hottest climbing destination on the planet?! |

CO Climber wrote: Yeah. I don't have to answer this for you. Ask yourself this question: who would care about their respective sport and the environment needed for it? : professionals. i.e. those who are paid to participate in that 'sport' You name for me 1 (one) professional skier who lives in the front range, and I will never post on MP again (and who has not retired, lots of ex-racer types sunning themselves in Aspen, a place which deserves respect.) |

The Raven wrote: Whoa whoa whoa... he said the -Red- was nothing but crimp ladders. He called The Racist at the New “the perfect rock climb”. I’ve spent a few weeks over the years climbing in the front range (including last week)... I always have a good time, but also always end up wondering why we didn’t just go to the New... |

You’ve climbed a lot with Tommy Caldwell. Did he show you any routes here, since he lives in Estes Park?
"No, not that much. I've climbed with him a little bit around Estes, but not a ton. The reason I don't climb Estes often is that it's too much work; it's too much hiking. I don't want to walk two hours to climb something when I've just spent the season in Yosemite running down El Cap all the time". That's kind of funny. I guess he has a point. |
