Damn. I got up at 0400 this morning intent on lugging a heavy pack up a steep slope through hostile vegetation to plug gear into sandstone of dubious integrity. I now see that I've been doing it wrong all these years.
Where is this land where climbing is never frightening or uncomfortable? I'm going there instead.

I just posted the link, you can take from it what you want...and I think we all know what you want

I thought the article was very very well crafted, I am so excited that so many people are joining the climbing community, and our community is so accepting!

Just look at all the new faces on MP lately and the joy they bring! I mean really, my work productivity has gone down the tubes with some of the threads and mystery novels going live on MP right now. Its great, just awesomely great.

I dont know about #9.

"Climbing is truly a very inclusive and enjoyable sport."  - She must not be on MP.

MP forums are like less than 1% of the sport. I would say more than most climbers are inclusive, although a bit gumby.

Can you stop shitting on my worldview of the climbing community? For me MP is it.

you know it is a hardcore article when there is a "related post" below it for "finding the best vaginal lubricant" just below it.  kind of an odd combination. i wish tradiban had at least warned people that it is NSFW.

#1: Its affordable to get started.

I wish I was a sponsored climber to make this claim.  Then again, I assume she confused Rock Climbing with Bouldering.

"7. It’s a great way to meet people ."

She's not wrong, but she misses the mark about what kind of people you'll meet...

I want an article stating 10 ways we can work to keep new people from getting in to climbing instead.

I vote for rock climbing to be less accessible to people.

And for you existentialists, if you make a host of simple mistakes, you could ENTER THE VOID.

That should be reason 11.

Certifications stating you are allowed to buy trad gear after passing a test. Or draws even. Sometimes I wonder why just anyone can buy cams...then again I am one of those randos who bought a double rack so my story woulda ended there. Nah let the people climb

Someone is trying to put BD out of business...

We need those rando's to buy cams then realize its not for them and to sell them on MP for rates that are the same as the current market.
