Kees van der Heiden wrote: Mr. Kammerlander looked rather sketchy in that video! Pumped out of his mind. Interesting also how he tries to deal with the fear, letting fear do its thing when resting and then composing himself again to find the neccessary concentration for the next bit of climbing. This video of Alex Huber is so cool. I’ve always thought this solo was one of the most remarkable ever. Hasse-Brandler is huge (~20 pitches), overhanging for the first half and suspect rock. Not many solo’s over the years (except Honnold’s) equal this feat. Here’s a picture from the Comici route looking at the Hasse-Brandler. |

Jyothi Raj climbing in India. Interesting gymnastic style of climbing. Not a boxing video - wait eight seconds for the climbing to start. |

I've seen a few videos of that guy before--he seem super strong. I wonder what grades he'd climb if he were doing, say, sport climbing. But the whole showboaty climbing for an audience thing is a whole different thing. The part where he pretends to slip and fall--twice--before flipping upside down to show he was completely in control the whole time, is hilarious. |
