I arrived at Rock and Snow today just in time to purchase a Black Totem today--the last one! Apparently they only had it because one of you folks who ordered online canceled your order. I picked it up for a friend--I already have two. :) |

Mine came today and it is pure sex. |

I had a dream that I stumbled upon a massive cache of totems at Barnes and Noble. Haven't been to a Barnes and Noble in years, but maybe it's worth a check now! Good luck, as always, YMMV. |

I had a dream Kate Upton was topless holding a black totem in each hand. Weird part was she was also in a Barnes and Noble. So either one might be true. |

I am a proud owner of one and only cam and it's Totem! Bought it two weeks ago - the green one as suggested by my dear climbing partner - with no problems at my local Planet Granite Belmont climbing gym. They apparently carry all sizes. Tried my one and only Totem at Castle Rocks park last Sunday and it worked wonderfully. But then again, my partners DMM Dragons worked equally wonderfully :) although we did place this Totem in the place it belongs to: a horizontal crack. |

As of yesterday, there were a few blue yellow and green at Neptune Mountaineering. They are going quick though |
Would anyone pay $150 plus shipping for. New totem? |
Absolutely not |
Not a chance |
Every color but black. |

I think the only color that's actually hard to find is black. The smaller sizes (blue-green) sometimes go out of stock, but if you're checking retailers occasionally, you'll see them in stock fairly often and they don't sell out unreasonably fast. It's only the black ones that appear rarely and are gone in under 6 hours. |
Getting them on sale is another matter. |
Campsaver may or may not have totems available right now- and there might be one or two black left...just sayin' ;) |
I chatted with a rep from Backcountry.com today and was informed that they will have Totems in all sizes by the end of this week. He took my phone number and an email address and promised to let me know as soon as they are in stock so that I order five much-coveted Totems for my future adventures. If you are reading this post, it means you are at least as excited for Totems as I am so I thought withholding this information from you would be a crime against climbing community, hence this post. Cheers and good luck getting black Totem ;) or whatever other color you want! |

Sorry if I got anyone's hopes high. Obnoxious I am, I chatted with ANOTHER guy at Backcountry today who informed me that I was actually misled yesterday and they have no set date as to when they will receive any Totem Cams. He said everything depends on Totem's USA distributor. Now if only I knew who this distributor is... |

Briggs Lazalde wrote: Really? So you are saying I shouldn't just order directly from Spain? They have all totems there but it comes to $540 for 6 cams (each $90) with free shipping. On the other hand, getting them from Backcountry probably will save couple dollars per cam, not more, even if that... Hmm... |

Sorry, I don’t know where any Totems are available. According to a professional I know in mergers and acquisitions. Venture capital investors “Find a company that does something well (has a product in demand) and give them money to do more of it” Pair this with the R&D cost of developing a new product in a crowded market and it seems easier to just buy this company instead of reinventing a small cam that people like. But, it might be hard to maintain the high price and demand if they are actually in stock anytime someone wants to buy one. |
