I have no idea who you are, where you are or when you’re coming back but why did you leave all your shit like this at the base of the cliff? practically on the trail?
I call these “Gunks on a Saturday”

Considering that many of the routes at the Gunks are 2-3 pitches.... maybe they are on route or descending... or heading to the rappels... or a variety of other likely scenarios?

That's nothing. One time I found 2 full packs and a dog just off the trail at the base of an 8 pitch route. I did the right thing and carried it all out. One of the packs even had the keys to a nice Tacoma in the parking lot, and in the console was a wallet full of cash and credit cards. It never ceases to amaze me the kind of crap people leave laying around. I ended up selling the dog to a cosmetics testing lab. He seemed really old so it was probably best for him anyway.

a few winters ago some poor sods dropped their packs at the river crossing for Shoestring Gull then they drove to the parking lot and hiked the 1/2mile back to their packs which some clueless do gooder had kindly rescued and turned in to IME....

Why did you blur out the hoarder? I want to see this person! Did you approach this awful human and speak about the horrors of the colors of clothing that he/they use together that are completely unacceptable in any ensemble? If not, you missed a GOLDEN opportunity.

Isn’t that in front of Son of Easy O and in fact the ‘end of the line’, aka not blocking the trail? Probably wrong but just curious?

This thread may be the launch pad for my latest product from Johnco......
The pocket Crag-cubby!
Upon arrival you simply pull out your cubby, pop it open and you have six tidy compartments for crag side organization! No more clutter to drive people with OCD insane!
"Where's my other shoe"?
"Right there in the Crag-cubby"!
Watch for the kick starter and "As seen on shark tank" coming soon!

Why does this bother you so much? People leave their shit out at the crag, and this doesn't even look that bad... plenty of room to move through that and who cares if you accidentally kick something. Presumably you went there to climb, so next time do more of that and spend less time being judgmental toward anyone less organized than you.

Watch for the kick starter and "As seen on shark tank" coming soon! I already patented a process by which we use technical explosives to create perfect Tora Bora-styled caves where each person can neatly store their possessions while climbing.

I get the sentiment, but can't believe *that* is the junk show at the Gunks that motivated you to post. That is pretty tidy compared to any nice weekend around Bird Cage.
