Are you actually saying that no one should aid on the Nose or the regular route on Half Dome?? The Salathe?

If you're serious, you truly are insane.

Always lame, but sometimes necessary :)

I think you might be reading pretty soon about an all female speed ascent on The Naked Edge, though far less ambitious than 30 minutes.
I have it on pretty good authority that a few people have been wiring that out.

Colin Haley set a new speed record on the Cassin Ridge on Denali. Solo'd the entire 3,000m with climbing up to M5/5.9/WI4

Re. Colin Haley on Denali:

Damn, he broke the previous time by a mile.

"All he took with him were a pair of ice tools with umbilicals, monopoint crampons, a helmet, collapsible ski poles, three-and-a-half liters of water, 13 energy gels, two energy bars, two pairs of gloves, an extra set of puffy pants and jacket, and his MP3 player."

Wish they would have elaborated on Tommy's idea for protecting the boot flake.

Simple, Tommy places a tensioned spring on a timer so that after 30 seconds (I can't believe that's actually more time than it would take one of them to climb the side of the boot) it pops the gear out of the placement, sliding down the rope into the waiting hands of Alex who's smiling for the cameras, perfect ad copy for their new sponsor, American Spring Manufacturing Inc.

i just want to know what's up with the 20 spare biners.  that seems kind of odd (?).  that is an insane rack for 1500 feet of climbing.

Tradigoof works the night shift with Vipergoof at the local Wallmart! They never had a chance at climbing the Captian living on $12.50 per hr.

No one is down for setting up fixed lines to see how fast The Nose can be done safely?

Hans Florine has already confirmed in the past that fixed lines on the Dawn Wall have been ascended from ground to top in 45 minutes.

Correct. How about actually freeing the nose sand aid in a speed style via fixed ropes?

Tradigoof it's perplexing how you talk so much and yet have no E/C big wall under your belt. All BS talk. Why don't you set the fixed line a show the climbing world how fast you are.

I don’t think could refrain from trolling for that long. Such a sad little human.
