I think I've dogged a 60ft 5.10 handcrack in a comparable time (I dont know how to crack climb)

Can this forum become a "things I did while Tommy and Alex were breaking the nose speed record" forum?

I'll go: I logged onto my work computer and had it crash three times while I tried to open a word document...while Alex and Tommy broke the speed record.

I snoozed through a dozen alarms that were supposed to make me productive before work... while Alex and Tommy broke the speed record.

I mowed the part of my lawn that the riding mower can't do.  I was probably just as tired as they were afterwards.

My alert goes off at 8:30am... I generally get out of bed around 9:30am... get to work between 10:00am and 10:30am... go eat lunch around 12:00pm and 1:00pm... go home and remote into my work computer by 2:30pm... pretend to work and just monitor my email / skype messages while posting on mountain project and watching movies... officially leave work and log off the work computer at 5:00pm... get paid in the 6 figure range... life is hard.

So yea in the time it takes me to wake up, take a shower, and leave for work they have climbed the nose.

Many years ago I lead bolted a severly overhanging 40ft 12a . that took me an hour or so. then it took me a solid 45min to jug it and clean it. that was when I decided that I needed to learn how to jug;)

The full rack. Can you imagine standing at the bottom of the captain with only 8 cams and a cam hook on your rack?

I ate a muffin. It was ok. Choked on it a bit because I fell asleep at one point. I'm OK though.

Looks like 15 or so quickdraws and Alpine draws, 10 or so free biners-- that gives you about 32 points of protection for each block of climbing, or roughly two points per pitch.

It’s very possible a party was on route while these two broke the speed record twice.

Yeah!

I wonder what must have been going through said party members' heads when they got passed by Alex and Tommy TWICE!

That's a great point... Imagine getting lapped on El Cap!

Those extensions off the bolts are always there on the nose. Not put up by them.

They were not there when I was there.

I've climbed the Nose 8 times and tat of some sort has been on those bolts every time. If you're not 6' or taller they are very long reaches between bolts.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
