Problems with nausea while trad climbing.

I stopped drinking coffee before climbing.  I found it always makes me want to puke on climbing mornings.

This one time I barely made it down from sending my sick proj before I blew chuncks all over the cliff base. Then when we were walking back to camp my partner tripped and opened here knee up WIIIIIDE, like bone viewing wide. Cleaning it was very touch and go for me.

But I had just eaten something bad. I'm mean, I'm not some kinda wuss or nothin'...

Hmmmm, maybe I should experiment with dropping the energy drinks on climbing day, see if that makes a difference.  I need to stop drinking them completely anyway, not good for my heart (at least the ones like Monster).

I know you don't want my opinion but yea dude! I'll support you, ha. Don't drink that stuff! Gonna sound like a hippie but try some green tea! Lots of studies coming out showing that refined sugar is the worst thing for your heart.

Never used to be, but i think it started to cause acid reflux as a got older.  But it could be combined with stress too for the ultimate double whammy.

And yup green tea every day.  The one thing i miss about coffee is pooping.  Tea just doesn't do it for me. haha

Ohhh no, I do want to hear it and i know that stuff : /  I have been trying to drink green tea a fair amount lately but I still have that bad habit of having an energy drink first thing in the morning.  I really need to try and get myself back on a keto diet again or at least vastly reduce my sugar intake.  A year and a half ago I was really good about it and the only sugar I had was in the form of a small serving of fruit (usually something more tart like raspberries) in my morning protein shakes.  Maybe if I get back on track with my diet that will help the nausea.  Will probably help me get some quicker gains in climbing too.

Depends on where you live. I am from the south so saying to drink tea is kinda pointless because half the glass is sugar for us.

Nobody in the south puts that much sugar in their green tea though (speaking as a Texan who has been around southern over-sugared iced tea my whole life).

Don’t steep your green tea too long! I refluxed white foam and was jittery after drinking gun powder green tea. Stuff can be potent

I put lemon in my tea and keep using the same bag throughout the day.  Progressively gets weaker and I'm just consuming warm water.

There's alot of reasons that you are becoming nauseas while climbing, alot have been mentioned already and all are probably part of the problem. You need to experiment and see what works for you. In my opinion sleep and diet are likely culprits. Regardless, hardening the fuck up always helps, however you want to that is up to you.

You might also have a point with sleep.  I tend to have a problem of staying up late before climbing days, get too excited/anxious about it I guess.

This has actually killed me the last couple times.  Either from anxiety or my awesome neighbors throwing a party.  I'd stop every 10 feet to retch.  haha

Don't forget water too, I rarely meet someone who drinks enough water.
