Of course it's not 100% perfect that guys are excluded. In a perfect world, none of this would matter at all, and this wouldn't even be a discussion. The point of most of the comments has been that in a world where there are lots of events where women and men can participate equally, and just as many where men have an easier time participating, it doesn't really make sense to to complain about a few events that exclude men. |

I think men are bitter because of how much flak we get in modern society to not be oppressive. Then we some some chicks with nuts crap and were not supposed to say anything? White men are the most oppressed group in the 20-teens. |

There is a sea kayaking event on Lake Superior, called "Ladies of the Lake", women coaches teaching women kayaking skills, just paddling around, having fun. Men are invited to the event, but not to paddle with women - there is "Man Camp" for those who decide to tag along with their significant others. |

There's plenty of all-male climbing events, with lots of farting and knuckle-dragging. Around here they're called "Weekends" |

Mitchelle Kelly wrote:Amarius, Is the chicks with nuts a better deal dollar wise than hiring a guide for the weekend? Would you be interested in a similar event open to all? Meals, housing, some scheduled socializing on saturday night? Is there demand for a coed version? Kelly guided us at Seneca, we used "Seneca Rocks Mountain Guides". My friend and I signed up for 3 day course, we had extra person for two days. We paid 375 each, and then for additional evening clinic. In the hindsight, spending more money for private guiding - 170 per day - would've been better in utilizing our time and allowed for more flexibility. |

Back to your question - I would love my wife to take the "Chicks" course. It would also be nice to have something available for me, if I decided to tag along and had no climbing partners. Do I care if this a mixed or segregated event? - not really, but some people might benefit from being in the same gender group. Or similar age group. Or similar skill group. The key point - learning environment is really important for a student to gain most out of instruction, we just need to accept it. This is coming from 10 years of being sea kayaking instructor and guide. I actually watched your trip on youtube. Looked like a great weekend! |

Here is an interesting read on the subject. |

I guess I take this to heart considering many of my climbing partners and good friends these days are female. Had they been sucked into this type of thinking and I may not have met them, and that is very disheartening. |

Can't you just declare yourself a woman, now? That's how it works right in modern leftist America...Genitalia/genetics doesn't matter - it's all about how you feel - do you feel like a woman? |

You wouldn't have met them because they climbed 1 day a year with a bunch of other women? |
