This boulder problem is near the entrance boulders at black jack. A little further up the hill from Bobby's Problem/Arete, but it faces the other way. It is about 50-100 feet up the hill from Trailside Crack. Anybody know what problem this is?

Odd, I am not recognizing the boulder from the picture. I'll have to see it in person. It looks cool. I don't know of any named routes up there (doesn't mean much. lots of unrecorded stuff) Did you climb it?

I had never seen it either. It faces the opposite way of trailside crack so it is hard to see the actual route from that area. You can see the boulder though. If you are standing in front of trailside crack and you walk to your left to the edge of the trail side crack boulder then look up the hill and to the left you will see the boulder. It is in a cool (temperature wise) shaded in area. If you fell on the starting moves you might fall into a small cave, and there seems to be a stream (at least right now) running under the cave. The rock quality is sub-par for Rumney, but all of the holds seem solid, and it doesn't detract much from the route.

I did climb it. The movement is fantastic and the last move is exciting!

Thats a line my buddy cleaned, trundled and got the FA of. It is called 'The Bootleg' and goes at around v6. It is a really fun boulder problem with fun powerful climbing!

A ton of rock came off while cleaning, leaving the current line. All the holds that are there now seem solid and will hopefully hang around to see many ascents!

We climbed a few lines in this area last year and they should be making an appearance on this site soon.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
