MTB Drop Seatpost: Reviews n Recommendations?

I've been contemplating buying a drop seatpost for a couple of years now and am looking for any feedback from MP users who ride.

I'm currently leaning toward the 5" travel Fox DOSS.

Anyone using this animal (or similar) that can provide any feedback?

go RS Reverb. Action is way smoother and the remote on the bar is much more refined.

Definitely the Rockshox Reverb. I've tried several droppers on the higher end bikes at the shop I work at and the Reverb seems to be the best balance of price, reliability, and function.

KS Lev is pretty sweet. 3rd year in a row with mine and had to do zero maintenance.

Reverb, although it can only be serviced at the factory. You can find them new on ebay for under $300.

The Thomson looks great, but its $$$. KS levs are hit and miss.

I decided to wait till late spring to make a purchase (if at all) and am currently focusing on getting the most of this balmy ice season.

Yah, the reverb does eventually die, but it can be fixed. Newer ones are a bit more durable. I dont know of a bulletproof dropper, though.

gravitydropper.com — I have two. They work great and are durable. Made in Montana. Research indicated those to be better than all or most out there.

Do you experience any issues with side to side movement with the saddle?

I would recommend the Gravity Dropper also. Great company to deal with.

I have put three years and countless miles on one and it still works perfectly. No maintenance or hassles.

If you dont have one, you are really missing out. It Lets you go so much faster. I would give up rear suspension before I would give up my dropper.

Another vote for gravity dropper. I love mine. I will say that there is a mm or so of play in it though. Not enough to matter, but if you wiggle it around by hand you can feel it.

Cheapest prices for the reverb. It's how I got mine (shipped to CA).
