Let's get this thing rolling . . . thinking, training, dry tooling, fantasizing, anything . . . with the new snow (or even old snow), has anyone seen any new (or remaining) ice to jump on?

Its a sickness!
However, It wont be long until the high peaks get their first dusting. Shortly there after the temps begin to plummet, The winds start to whip and dreams of alpine ecstasy fill the mind.
But for now, DEAD HANGS, DEAD HANGS and more DEAD HANGS!
Much like a wolf with the first taste of blood, fear i have tasted, and now i thirst for more!

Vail is shaping up well as of a couple weeks ago. So is the campus board

That picture showed a LOT of snow on Pikes. Anybody been up around Total Abandon? With that big dump, it should be pretty fat.

You people are all sick. I'm lighting candles to all the gods I can think of to prolong the summer and fall. Hopefully into January.

Too bad the Big Thompson Canyon is impassable & will be for some time washed into the Big T River...

Took the tools for a walk up to the north side of Quandry and came up empty handed. This area is usually a good ice indicator for early season. But... there is a good solid dusting and it was cold and windy. One route to keep a close eye on is North Star.

Right! Approaches have quadrupled.

First snow of the season on Hyalite Peak! Getting stoked

Winter park and Loveland got snow and Aspen got snow as low as 8,000 ft. Pikes peak looks great to! Plus there is a larger colder storm coming in this weekend. Let the season begin!
