Hey all, I will be visiting my daughter in San Fran mid April and would like to take her climbing on some good and easy granite for a couple of days. Trad multi-pitch okay. I was thinking South Lake Tahoe. Any other suggestions?

Lover's Leap for sure. Best 5.6s-5.8s in California. All of the climbing is walking distance from the campsite. There is also a restaurant, small grocery store, and a motel walking distance from the crags.

Lovers Leap may still be quite wet mid April ... Especially if there's any new snow . Tollhouse will be guaranteed dry, very moderate and fun 1-5 pitch slab routes ... Often uncrowded .

As noted above, Lover's Leap is far from being a sure bet in April; there may be snow or meltwater to contend with. There are some other Tahoe area that are more reliable at that time of year; Sugarloaf comes to mind. Tahoe locals can probably fill this information in in more detail. Maybe post up on Supertopo; that seems to be the prefered site for the Tahoe/Bay Area crowd. Also, as noted above, Tollhouse is a much warmer/drier option than Tahoe, with plenty of easy slabby climbing to be found there.

Sugarloaf doesn't fit the bill of 'good easy granite' IMO... Are there any moderates less than say , 5.7 there ... ? If this dry warm weather keeps up , why not just go to Yosemite ? Plenty of dry moderate routes ...

You might consider Fresno Dome. Lots of excellent moderates there. If Lover's is too wet, consider the Valley.
