Mine isn't as fun: not knowing is the most intimate

This saying/reminder has its importance when approaching a climb or area. Sometimes when a route has a gnarly reputation (good, bad, cool, fun, whatever) I admit I'm a sucker and can psych myself out. This saying, which is told by the Buddha, is amazing. Its amazing what you can do when you don't KNOW about it. Climb every route as if its the first time. Do it with ignorance, by not knowing and every climb is an onsight (not really but close enough).
