Hello all,

I recently moved to Shaver Lake for a summer job and will have Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays off going into September. With that being said, I'm open to climbing anywhere in Northern/Central California with the most interest in multi pitch trad climbing.

I just got into trad climbing this summer so my aim is to get out as much as possible and to learn as much as possible. I am currently leading 5.7s and wanting to move into 5.8s. Even though I want to become a better leader, I would just as much enjoy following in the 5.9/low 5.10 range. I've got a rope, set of cams and a set of nuts.

If anyone is down to climb, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Yo Alex, are you working with the Forest Service's Kings River Fisher Project up in Shaver? In Shaver, you're right near Shuteye Ridge, and only a few hours from the Needles and the Valley. Good stuff up there!

Yeah I'm working for the Forest Service but specifically for the High Sierra Ranger Station as a hydrologist. Yeah it looks like there is some great stuff in the area! I'm excited to be up here

If you are at Shaver lake you should check out Toll House Rock . Sweet piece of granite from what I've seen.

Toll house is great but probably too hot until at least early October .

also, check out courtright res. there's tons of slab stuff, but i've definitely found some cracks out there that are worthwhile! tiger cage was a lot of fun to play around on.
