But no, it was just calm, relaxing, controlled movement over the route and then I downclimbed it. I was very disappointed. Am I doing something wrong?

Oh man, I'm always scared free soloing. Should I practice taking falls while free soloing to get my confidence up?

On a separate note, I just found a hole in my favorite pair of rock shoes. Does anyone know the location of Rock and Resole? How long will it take me to get there from my house?

That's the only way you're going to get past the fear, right?

But, it's important to practice safely. Make sure you are practicing only where the fall will be clean. You wouldn't want to hit a ledge on your way down.

And, to be truly effective, the practice needs to replicate what you might actually experience on a climb. If you're only free soloing shorter routes, you'll be fine taking 20-40 foot falls. But, if you're going to be free soloing multi-pitch routes, you'll need to take bigger practice falls.

OK but with the wing suit u can take much longer falls...or it it cheating? What if u wear just the wing suit and forget the shoes....is it cheating then????

Tim, you promised to send me $5 before you climbed, making it debt soloing. So yes, you're doing something wrong.

Shit, I'm in enough debt as it is! This sucks. You know, climbing sucks, too. I'm done.

How can I sell my entire rack? Is it OK to sell used climbing equipment?

Obligatory "you can just send your rack to me and I'll dispose of it properly" remark.
