You are a single RN and you cant afford a decent dentist? A dentist is really not something I would skimp on considering any repairs they do you might want to stick around for a while. And good luck finding a dentist who is going to trade you dental work for a used #1. I cant believe you are a nurse... kinda scary since every post you make seems to lack any common sense.

Well I thought I would ask because everyone is trying to save a buck im between dental insurances so to say and would rather spend money on trips and or gear than dental work. My teeth are not bad foulks but what im interested in is veneers. And those can be costly being cosmetic and all. Last winter I sort of chipped my tooth putting rope in my mouth and its not noticeable but can become with time. I use my teeth as my 'third hand' when finagling with gear its a habit. I think a lot of people do it. So before matters get worse I need to get this business taken care of. OK now you all know.

The Dread Pirate Killis wrote: Welcome to the club, sir. Elena, are you working full time as a nurse? You are the second nurse I've ever met who's had insurance or cashflow problems, I'd bet there are some helpful do's and don'ts related to how not to get into the situation you're in. Not busting your chops for once; genuinely curious. My buddy back east was working 4-5 days a week as a nurse and the only reason she was broke is that she was strung out on hard drugs, not saying that's your issue but nursing is good money, what gives? Im broke cos of retail addiction plus I try to work as little as possible im averaging 2 to 3 nights a week being a float prn and I have an agency gig on the side I spend money on gas and gear and eating out etc. Not very responsible I say but I enjoy that type of lifestyle. I've never done drugs in my life. Don't even drink ( I don't like the taste) I guess I could work extra shifts to pay for veneers but hey I would rather climb

People is it hard to understand that some ish does not like drugs or does not break the law? Well im that ...just boring clean and non criminal person. I worked too hard for my license. Blah...

I can believe it. When I was dealing craps in Las Vegas (GVR in Henderson actually), one of our regular degenerate dice addicts was a pediatric nurse. This guy's head was all kinds of dysfunction. For example, he wouldn't come in on days when it rained because he thought the dice would be angry with the casino, so they would screw him and give us his money. Yeah, let that sink in for a moment. I'd be willing to bet that anyone who's worked in table games has 100 stories to rival that one in terms of absurd logic. It scares the hell out of me to think that someday my child's life may be in the hands of someone who's thought process is that broken.

Been to TJ! Awesome place! Did not tap into it enough for the lack of time. I remember being able to tell American tourists from a mile away growing up and who would have ever though the tablets would turn? Im a actually dressing in local clothes next time to disguise myself I think I could pass for a Mexican girl:) that is something I may actually consider if I can a Cali contract. Good point!

I rented a car last night and they asked if I would take one with a little damage for a discount. It was dark and I could hardly notice the door dinger so I said sure.

If you live near a university with a dental program, give them a call. I just finished several months worth of work, dealing with several years worth of neglect, at the UCLA School of Dentistry (Residency Program). Several extractions, fillings, bridge work, bone grafts & two implants. A 60% discount from retail, and the work was a good as any I've ever experienced. Top notch faculty supervision and state of the art materials. And Elena Sera Jose - Apurate! The longer you procrastinate, the more money you'll spend. GLTY!

Nice to know about the university dentists well the student massage therapists are good and much cheaper than the regular ones. I trust student docs they are super thorough usually. And if I started a thread ' expensive dentists needed' would I actually get a real dentist to respond??? And Pirate u gross me out.
