the diamond, long's peak, casual route... (comes to mind)
if you have never been, it is a wonderful adventure!

So you want it all but only have 9 days? Where are you coming from and how are you traveling?

If you're driving: Consider CO or WY/SD. Others can better speak to CO. In the Black Hills area combining Devil's Tower and Spearfish/Tensleep Canyons would be a great trip. Or Devil's Tower and City of Rocks?

If you're flying: Consider flying to Reno, renting a car and mixing Tahoe and Tuolumne.

Drive less, climb more!

one area for 9 days. we would prefer a destination with varied types of climbing.

Squamish. Lacks a huge selection of decent sport routes in the 5.10 range, but everything else is there. Not too hot either.

Flagstaff, AZ. Everything's in town (the Pit, Oak Creek Overlook, Priest's Draw, Mt. Elden), and the temperature is pretty moderate in the summer. There's an airport in town and it's on I-40.

Ha, I was thinking Tuolumne. Haven't been there yet, but will be soon. Can't f@#%en wait!!!

But seriously, I bet it will comply with Maslow's priorities. How's it go…oxygenation, multi-pitch, food & water, bomber pro, T&A, personal achievements, and self actualization or something like that?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
