Heres a good review on windshirts: Outdoorgearlab.com

My next jacket is going to be the Wild things, made in the USA for much less than patagonia!

So it's like a year later, and I finally bought one yesterday.

$55 for the REI Fleet jacket. Marketed as a trail running piece.

6oz, which a bit on the heavy side for these things, full zip, packs into it's chest pocket. No decent clip in, but at least the chest pocket zipper is two sided, so you can rig something to act as one. I'll tie a little piece of shock cord through it for a clip in.

Kept waiting for a Houdini on sale, never found it. One downside is that while it is cut very trim, which is what I want, the forearms are almost too trim.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
