I am going to be in Argentina from March 26-May 10. I wanted to head to Bariloche and climb in Frey. I was thinking the last two weeks of April. I have checked average weather reports and know that it will be cold but maybe not that cold. If anyone has any advice that would be helpful please share it with me if you are willing. If you know of other places that are interesting to visit around the area that would be cool also.
Thanks in advance,
Francisco Di Poi

Bariloche is a wonderfully beautiful town that you'll enjoy just being in. The chocolate alone is worth the visit, but the views are absolutely amazing.
Regarding the weather, you should be good to go, but it depends. That's starting to get late into the year and seasons can differ from year to year. It also depends on what you call "cold." That time of year would probably be a bit too cold for me, but one never knows. I thought it would be cold in late October but I was in shorts and a T-shirt downtown the whole time.
There's also TONS of climbing there. Check out the climbing info booth at the visitor's center in the center of town (the historic section). There's lots of info there regarding where to climb and, if you want, who guides in the area. There will also be transportation info for getting to Frey.
I found Bolsa del Deporte (or simply La Bolsa Hostel) to be a sweet place to stay for the price. I also visited the hostel that on the top floor of the tallest building in Bariloche. Excellent view for sure. A bit pricey, but you can't beat the views.
