I think we'll eventually read about him in Accidents in North American Mountaineering. Analysis will simply say: "Dumbass."

This is the kind of crap I did as a child climbing trees in my backyard, though never more than 15 feet up.

Valuable info. If I ever find myself on a "buget" I will keep this in mind.

Is this guy really that different from them - other than the fact that he is publicizing it while it is going on rather than way after the fact?

From the last thread, I believe there was something about a video that this kid also created on how to cook your own heroine...so HELL YES, I sure hope he's different from some climbers today who had humble beginnings.

I've watched this four times now. Why couldn't I have seen this before I spent all that money on climbing gear.

He said..."Ballistic nylon from Walmart." I'm pretty sure I've seen him, and his kind, (along with my kind) in Walmarts...and at Bass Pros too, always meandering at the gun counter, with an arm full of moon pies, and a bag full of bright orange circus peanuts. I know the type.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
