I was thinking about making a trip to Zion Feb. 1-6 What are the conditions like this time of year? What are the temps like on the south facing features? Wind?

Thanks!

Last February we got dumped on with eight inches of snow. It really screwed the climbing, but it was beautiful. The day before the snow was perfect climbing weather. Obviously this was a fluke and only happened because the desert hates us (my friend has been banned on account of his always bringing bad weather).

So far it has been a warm and dry winter. Temps have been in the mid to high 50's during the day. Climbing on south facing walls has been very comfortable. A big storm passed through yesterday and everything is soaked. It will take a few days to dry out. If the weather holds the climbing should be great. check the forecast for springdale to get the weather outlook.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
