Whatever happened to the travelling biner?

I wanted to know where the original travelling biner is.
I don't want to start a new one, but keep the original going.
Someone must know where it currently resides.

There would be twice as much action if there were 2 devices, the traveling biner and the traveling stopper. It's OK to have parallel devices here - just that much more opportunity and that much less waiting for a turn. ALso- if one goes missing, the other continues. For costs sake we could do a traveling stopper (#4 BD should go St mail) and a traveling sling (1' X 9/16" dynema) should be the same. Then it's just the regular ole' mail...

Maybe some strange item with an additional rule IE- for obscure or no-star climbs only or back-country only or something strange that would lead us a little more off of the beaten path.

What say you all? Speak and I'll get item #2 selected if it is a good idea and go initialize it before sending it out.

Fold a MP sticker around the spine or the cable of the stopper for added flare!

Tony B: Why don't you work from the bottom of the list with the stopper, sounds awesome. When it gets to me it'll be an excuse to look for a route that isn't all bolted, uncommon here...

Wet weather and cold from hell the last two weekends. I'm working this weekend, but I bought a disposable camera and I have a extra act.

Tom, it looks like the original biner is MIA and presumed bailed off of in a lightning storm. This is as good as it gets. Whatever happened to the original thread, though? I would have thought someone would have bumped it by now.

I, too, am quickly running out of good weather. I might have to get creative... Do you think the gym will let me place a stopper on their plastic?

You could just mail out a memory card. You could fit way more pictures and it would cost less to send.

There is always WI and M routes to climb with the biner and stopper when rock is out of season. [disclaimer: I cannot lead such things myself]. I want to get back on the list, but my fun calendar is being crowded out by my work calendar for the foreseeable future.
