Protocol for editing a route

There are some mistakes in a climbing area near and dear to my heart. How do we go about getting those changed? The particular case that annoys me the most is a misspelling of the route's name which takes some of the credit away from the FA parties.

You can contact the administrator for that area. I am sure they would make things right.

Unless I'm not reading something correctly my area doesn't have an administrator. The area in question is "Carderock" under Maryland.

Apparently no one wants to take responsibility for Maryland.

If no admin responds there is a email link at the bottom of the page where you can report a change and put the description in there: mountainproject.com/scripts…;type=bug

Lots of technical and social details to work out first!

Maybe you could add a button to contact the submitter and all admins for the route/area in question. Basically creating a PM to multiple recipients.

I'm afraid the lack of an "Edit" or "Suggest update/change/correction" button might keep people from submitting valuable input, unless the area is "near and dear to [their] heart" as for Wannabe.
