What is with this new Generation of climbers?!

There was a local bouldering comp at the gym last night(Rocks&Ropes) was a girl there from PHX climbing in her underwear WTF?

What was her name.

Blond. she probably climbs at AZR

with some old dude spotting her either her dad, which is creepy, or some old dude, which is even more creepy.

hope that wasn't her dad. if so, shame on him.don't get me wrong; i loved the nude beaches in greece and topless in spain.there's a time and a place.

Like, underwear underwear or bikini/sports wear? Not sure what to tell you, people have a right to wear what they want in this country, but there is a line between child porn and a tight outfit.

My question is, would you complain more or less if I had competed in a banana hammock? (check profile pics to determine appropriate respone)

It's the complete lack of lycra sending that just astounds me; much less kilt-less fellwalking.

I think I know whom you're talking about, I'm just suprised that a guy would complain (not really sure if you are complaining). I would just call it really skimpy and tight lycra, not underwear.

I watched her boulder one problem. She was strong.

Please post a picture of the lady in question so we can properly assess this situation.

No clothing to weigh her down...I think this discussion would benefit from some further info as to her exact age. 14-totally not okay, 17 or 18+, that's her choice. Sounds like Sierra... Her father is her coach. She is a very strong climber and really nice.

Didn't Christian Griffith write that he stripped down to his undies to send either Chouca or La Rose et le Vampire (at Buoux)?

Don't get me started about the dudes cooking pancakes. Euros I'm assuming, otherwise time to order a 5150 (3 day psych hold).

I don't know which generation of climbers I would be part of but the next chance I get I'm climbing a route in nothing but my harness the plan being to belay my second up and have a go at the anchors.

PS I could use a new climbing partner if anybody is interested.

Oh and this thread is useless without pictures. If not the person talked about in the OP at the very least some scantily clad women climbing, the climbing part is even optional.

Yes. The regular MP engineers and lawyers need specs and facts for study and argument. Otherwise we can just agree there's a hypothetical line between sports wear and soft porn. Gifted athletes come close without crossing.

The only issue the new generation has that I can detect is that they seem to be having more trouble than their elders when it comes to removing clothes.

Anyhow, my local gym always has a dude or two who have climbed out of their shirts, but this summer (it was pretty warm and the AC wasn't very efficient) I saw this guy in his undies only. But being it NYC, he still had his Crackberry hoisted to his skivvies.
