On February 15, three of us climbed an exhilarating couloir in the San Bernardino Mountains. It has probably been climbed before, but I couldn't find a record of a prior ascent. Here is the trip report.

Nice work Sam. Our local mountains are filled with gems like this.

Fun adventure, and cool report. I am looking forward to hearing the next report of a team ascending via the wet-n-chossy looking arete to the left and skiing down the Gauntlet. Congrats on the successful trip!

I am wondering what the snow was like?? Did you see any evidence of slides around the area??

Thanks everyone!

Robin like the bird: There was evidence of slides in the area, including on our route. The most worrying avalanche debris was in Mill Creek Canyon. We saw several 200-300 foot long tongues of *rock* debris from recent slides that extended into the bottom of the canyon.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
